Hayden says no to tanning

Vanessa Hudgens and Hayden Panettiere always manage to look glowing and beautiful. Now the two stars are sharing their secret. And it's an important one. These young actresses are opening up on the topic of tanning—so the message is health related as well as beauty related.

What's so bad about tanning? Plain and simple—it causes skin cancer. Vanessa Hudgens walked the red carpet and told an interviewer how she stays out of the sun. "Do it fashionably by wearing hats and sunglasses. I personally love the hats. I mean like big brimmed are so fun and bohemian now, so you're being stylish and you're protecting yourself." Along with Hudgens, fellow Neutrogena spokesperson Hayden Panettiere was also on hand to speak out against tanning. Hayden said that her biggest tip for teens is to not tan.

Vanessa Hudgens and Hayden Panettiere both said one thing loud and clear: Do not tan. Fake it all the way! Using bronzers and self tanners are easy and affordable—baking in the sun is so old school. Melanoma and skin cancer affects around 2 million people each year so stay out of that sun!

Watch the video below to see Vanessa Hudgens and Hayden Panettiere talk about sun protection!
