Hayden Panettiere Says Bye-Bye to Milo Ventimiglia, Hello to Jesse McCartney?

It appears that Milo Ventimiglia is no longer Hayden Panettiere's hero and the actress has found a new wind beneath her wings. Even though the 19-year-old actress has been romantically linked to 31-year-old Ventimiglia for well over a year, Panettiere was seen at Crown Bar in Hollywood earlier this week, getting cozy with someone who was definitely not her Heroes costar - singer Jesse McCartney, to be exact.

"She was holding [McCartney] tighter than Michael Phelps gripping that bong," reports Radar Online. "[Panettiere] was sitting in Jesse's lap while he kissed her neck. Then she got up and did some crazy sexy dance in his lap."

There's been no official announcement that Panettiere and Ventimiglia have broken up but, according to Radar, the actress' behaviour with 21-year-old McCartney was unambiguous. Panettiere and her new boy toy reportedly continued their public displays of eww well into the night, with McCartney wrapping his arms around the young actress and kissing her neck.

Bad news for Ventimiglia, sure, but good news for any female fans who still harbour fantasies about taking him as a lover. (We have no idea who would have such fantasies, though. Certainly not us. No, siree.)

I Love You Beth.... Trailer!

Thanks Dasha for pointing out the movie trailer with Hayden for “I LOVE YOU, BETH COOPER” that is coming on screens on July 10th.

There’s buzz in Tinseltown surrounding Hayden Panettiere’s upcoming big screen gig called I Love You, Beth Cooper. In the comedic film adaptation of screenwriter Larry Doyle’s romantic coming-of-age story, Panettiere will play the hot cheerleader role once again, but this time, she’ll have the pom poms without the superpowers. The Hollywood “It Girl” will play the high school bombshell who becomes the object of a nerdy valedictorian’s obsession.

In addition to the trailer, there’s an interactive application feature that allows you to create your very own trailer and to share with your friends via MySpace, Facebook, email and other social media channels. Although the movie is months away from its July 10th release, the I Love You, Beth Cooper website is definitely worth checking out in the meantime.

Golden Globes Fashion Police: Purple Reigns!

One of our favorite red carpet trends of the evening? Stars who swapped basic black for the more interesting aubergine—or as Hayden Panettiere described her Gianfranco Ferré gown, "deep purple." The grape-ish hue was also a winner on Miss Golden Globe, Rumer Willis, and True Blood's Best Actress darling Anna Paquin, dressed in Hervé Leroux.

On our not-so-loved list...

The busy little ruffles dominating the pastel dresses of Olivia Wilde (Reem Acra) and Elizabeth Banks (J. Mendel). Sorry, ladies, but all we could think of when looking at your froufrou frocks was, "Oh my, what fancy tissue-box toppers!"

Granted, you're much prettier than anything Grandma ever had on display, but no red carpet ensemble should ever remind us of bathroom decor.
